Tamis Leal Barceló

Originaria de Mexicali, Baja California, Tamis Leal Barceló estudió arquitectura en la Universidad Autónoma de Guadalajara, conservando en todo momento la inquietud y pasión por la creación artística. Con más de 20 años de trayectoria, Leal Barceló encontró en la tinta china el lenguaje y estilo que la identifica. Si bien ha incursionado también en la docencia, la escultura y la gráfica, es la pintura su verdadera vocación donde la búsqueda, el conocimiento, la reflexión, así como una depurada técnica le han permitido transitar de lo figurativo a lo abstracto. Su obra ha participado en múltiples exposiciones individuales y colectivas tanto en México como en los Estados Unidos.

Originally from Mexicali, Baja California, Tamis Leal Barceló studied architecture at the University of Guadalajara. She has always kept her enthusiasm and passion for artistic creation. With over 20 years of experience, Leal Barceló found in ink the language and style that identify her. While she has also stepped into teaching, sculpture and graphic, painting is her true vocation; the place where she can move from figurative to abstract through search, knowledge and reflection. Her work has been presented in numerous individual and group both in Mexico and the United States exhibitions.
